New Year's Resolution #1

What's good for you and your family is good for our world. In 2010 we'd like to see the separation between health and the environment go away. The environment is not something "out there" - we are part of the environment. So walk more. Drive less. Buy products with less packaging. Carry them
home on your bike! Bring Your Own Bag.
Purchase local produce and meats which have less of a "footprint" in
transportation and that are healthier for you. Eat more fruits,
veggies, and legumes. Meet a cool EcoMom who rides her bike everywhere.

Stuffed Naturally

As I was leafing through my cookbooks last night, something I do after a busy day to decompress, I thought of stuffed leaves. There are many countries who harvest leaves and stuff them with savory to spicy cooked
meats, vegetables and more. Like the betel leaf used in Thai cooking. I am always looking for ways to reduce packaging waste as I cook. Maybe it comes from years of owning my own catering business and my yearning to create without leaving a trail of waste.
