Sowing Hope: EcoMom Congo
Project: Bringing healing and empowerment to
Congolese women and children because our insatiable demand for
electronics is fueling a violent war in Congo. A war in which
sexual violence is the weapon of choice and this beautiful country
has now become the most dangerous place in the world for women and
children. We can make a difference today to help stop the war and
support sustainable redevelopment.

EcoMoms Composting Now: More
than 30% of all waste in our landfills comes from green waste. By
composting you help to slow the fill of our nation’s landfills and
thus reduce both methane and CO2 emissions. Moms of the Revolution:
A joint partnership between EcoMom Alliance, Revolution Foods, Kiwi
Magazine and My Healthy School, Moms of the Revolution seeks to
bring more organic, healthy and sustainable school lunch products
and practices into our childrens’ schools.

One Night Off Campaign: Based on the Australian Conservation
Foundation’s “Cool the Globe” initiative, and inspired by some of
our Aussie EcoMoms, our One Night Off campaign encourages mothers
to choose one night a week to turn off all lights, TV’s, washers,
dryers etc. This not only saves energy and natural resources, but
also creates more time for families to connect with one
another.
EcoMoms All: If soda companies
can get their products into any neighborhood, than we can get
empowering eco-information into any neighborhood. There is no
reason that socio-economics should ever prevent a mother from
having access to information that can help her make healthier
choices for her children, her planet and herself. We work with
grass roots organizations to bring environmental health information
into all moms.
