Hosting An EcoMom Party
In the
longstanding tradition of women gathering around the fire or
kitchen table, an EcoMom Party is a great excuse to get friends
together to connect, share, learn, nurture, and support one
another.

us for ideas about events and parties. We often have
special themes, seasonal product giveaways, campaigns etc. that we
are working on and for which we can provide you with information
and goods - and we love to hear your ideas
too!
- Join EcoMom
- Decide what EcoMom theme you would like to focus on in your community
- Compile a guest list from friends, mom's groups, book clubs, neighbors, PTA's etc.
- Invite Guests. Sign in to EcoMom. Go to Quick Add on the right side of your EcoMom home page, scroll down and click on Add Event. Follow the Easy Directions to create an event and Invite.
- Minimize waste at your party with re-usable or biodegradable service ware.
- If possible, provide organic snacks and drinks. Compost leftover food.
- Start your party with socializing. We all need more time to share and connect.
- Introduce the theme of your party and lead a discussion, show a video, or host a guest speaker. You do NOT have to be an expert; you are creating an opportunity for sharing and learning.
- Focus on solutions. It is easy to get bogged down in fear and overload so you always want to stay welcoming, positive, and proactive.
- Do not be afraid to say “I don’t know” when someone asks a question and you don’t have an answer. Get in touch with us and we will help you figure it out.
- Welcome warmly and without judgment those who are taking their first green steps.
- Be fearless. We all feel fear, but don’t let it stop you from taking action and adopting a positive attitude.
- Listen. Everyone wants to be heard so
hear them - even if you don’t agree with them. We all have
something to learn and we all offer something to
learn.
- Do your best to make sure everyone leaves feeling inspired and empowered to do at least ONE THING that is healthier for themselves, their family, and our world by the time they go home.
- Encourage someone in the group to Become An EcoMom Community Leader and continue growing EcoMom events in your area.
- Pick a date and theme for your next EcoMom gathering.
