Sowing Hope: EcoMom Congo Project

The violence in Congo is being fueled by a multi-million dollar trade in minerals – the 3 T’s - that make our cell phones and other electronics function. Though this is taking place halfway around the world, we are directly linked to the conflict in which sexual violence is the weapon of choice. Over 5 million people have died as a result of the war. Hundreds of thousands of women have been raped. It is the most dangerous place in the world to be a woman or girl right now. But we can help our Congolese sisters today.

2.    Increase Hope: By creating US demand for Congolese-made products, we can create economic sustenance and emotional empowerment for women and children of the Congo.
